Proenza Schouler for Target sweatshirt!

This was a very lucky return find when the PS line from NM went to 50%.  I was happy to find it because I am always cold in the winter and wear sweaters and sweatshirts constantly.  I can't figure out what is going on with these jeans!  They are falling off me and I feel like I've gained weight, not lost.  Weird.  Life has been stressful lately, and I wonder if I have actually lost even though my eating choices have not been the best.

Shirt: Proenza Schouler for Target $15
Tank: Old Navy $3.12
Jeans: Mossimo Premium Denim $8.39
Shoes: Bakers $14

I read the story of Lot leaving Sodom & Gomorrah in today's Bible reading (Gen 19).  It was interesting to see how even though the angels were encouraging him to leave, he lingered......he procrastinated.......the angels had to LITERALLY take him by the hand and lead him out.  Even then, 2 of his son-in-laws thought he was not serious about leaving and they and his daughters were destroyed in the city.  And his wife was so connected to that place that she looked back, against instruction, and turned into a pillar of salt.  It made me think of how connected we can get to this world, even though we are just pilgrims passing through. Even though we know some things are not spiritually best for us, we linger just a little while longer, not wanting to make a change.  Justifying things in our mind.  Convincing ourselves "it's not that bad".

I feel so blessed to be able to have the Bible in my hand to read and gain so much insight for my Christian walk.

Hand in Hand we walk each day
Hand in Hand along the way
Walking thus, I will not stray
Hand in Hand with Jesus.

  1. Sorry you are feeling a little stressed. When I am stressed I lose weight without trying and I eat a ton of junk food, it's a horrible cycle. Your top is really cute and I love your hair pulled back like that :) Heather

  2. Love the sweat shirt
The only things left at our Target store from the NM line were the Christmas balls and that white bag that just isn't my taste at all.

  4. You look so pretty with your hair up like that. :) And I am just curious as to how many times you visit Target in a week? How are you always getting such great deals?

    1. Thanks Misty - I just pulled it up b/c I had just washed it - maybe I found a new do! heehee. Um, I plead the 5th?? Actually I live about 7 minutes from 2 awesome targets- they are practically side by side. I am able to stop there when I do my weekly grocery errands, and I pop by when taking my children here and there for lessons. And I always stop by a different Target on my way to work the 1 day a week I work out of the home. And this is how I get the deals- you seriously have to be there several times a week. I have the markdown schedule memorized! It's also best to go first thing in the morning I find!

  5. Oh I know! I think you had bought low rise skinny jeans bit I am probably just assuming in what you buy. Ha ha ha! But try putting a belt on that matches with that outfit and maybe everything will just work fine.

  6. Lose weight from stress, without trying? Not me! I gain weight from stress, WITH trying to lose it! Ugh.

We have been studying Genesis in Bible class at church, which I have really enjoyed. Always have liked hanging out in the beginning. Back in high school, we had to outline the entire book of Gen. Yes, I was nerdy enough to think that was fun! ;) And to add fuel to my Genesis fire, last week I read a wonderfully written fictionalized account of Sarah - "Sarai" by Jill Eileen Smith.
