Hey shopping friends! Just wondering if any of you have the Jcrew Cadabra Cardigan yet and what do you think of it? How do you wear it? Cinched up or down? In between? Thanks for any feedback!

We are so blessed!
Our oldest son decided to obey the gospel and be baptized into Christ on Sunday at the close of our gospel meeting. Is there any happier day for a parent, than the day their child decides to give his life to God and live for Him? We are so thankful for our son, and for the blessings of salvation.

Home- A room for a sweet little seamstress!
Another room complete at our home! This room has had quite a history! It started out housing all 3 of my little kids, then it became a room for grandmother during her rehab from the stroke, then it became a guest room, then it became Maggie's room, then it became the schoolroom and now.......back to my little girl's room.
My daughter loves neatness and order. She loves things to be clean and neat. She loves crafting and crocheting and now is teaching herself how to sew using her Grandmother's machine (her Grandmother was a Singer sewing machine teacher and a seamstress extraordinaire!) It must be in the genes, as Maggie has been working away on designing and sewing clothing for her American Girl dolls!
Her daddy painted it a color of her choosing and she picked out her covers, rug, lamp, mirror, etc. The only thing we lack is some cool curtains, waiting until we spy some we love.

"The Workshop" - school desk and sewing machine!
Kickback and relax! Rug, cubicles, lamp from Target. Pillows, bedding, chair from Ross.
Cute little owls on the lamp!
The master at work.
Her first completed project- a Pea Coat! It even has contrasting lining!

Upcoming weeks...
"These are desperate times Mrs. Lovett, and desperate measures are called for!" -Quote from Sweeney Todd - my senior year play in which I was Mrs. Lovett!
The next few weeks are proving to be verrrrry busy for us, so I will post sporadically and I'm even more sorry to say, I won't have as much free time to read and comment on all the blogs I follow! I will miss reading about your lives, but when time allows, I will be back!

OOTD-Influence....
It was impossible for me to get dressed this morning without thinking of several of my blogging friends!
As I put on my sweater, I thought of my sweet friend, Debra, of I Dream of Anthropologie, who out of the goodness of her heart, thrifted this cardi and mailed it to me! It's amazing how you can become such good friends with someone over the miles by only connecting via the blogging world!
Since the cardi was a Cold Water Creek, I thought of Pam, at Over50Feeling40, because she always looks so great in her Cold Water Creek finds!
As I put on my Gap Tneck, I thought of Fabulous Florida Mom, and how she recommended these back in December on a super sale for about $7!
As I put on my Neutrogena Mineral Foundation I thought of Joy from Southern Comfort, because she recommended it and it rocks! As I applied it I thought of Lise, her partner in crime at the same blog, because I made sure to get it in the "bat cave" (around eyes)!
As I put on my C.O. Bigelow Mentha gloss, I thought of Molly, from My Closet Travels! I helped her with one teeny thing on her blog and she generously sent me a gift certificate to Bath and Body Works where I buy my all time favorite lip gloss!
As I put on my new Report shoes, that I found at Ross for $14 last night, I thought of Tricia, from Tricia's Take, and the cute Report shoes she wears! When I emailed her a pic of the shoes to tell her I thought of her, she said she had gone to Target today and thought of me!
As I put on my necklace, I thought of Lori, from Morning Glories and Moonflowers, and the great talent she had in making this necklace! She is a fellow homeschooling pal!
It makes me think of how powerful and influential blogging can be! I have been influenced by so many wonderful women over the past year. I hope that I can be an influence for good in return.
To quote the song from Wicked, "Because I knew you, I have been changed, for good".
Check them out! I just saw these at Nordstrom for $50- got them for $14!! Whoot-Whoot! I needed flats so badly!

OOTD- An owl in the Ruffles
A day at the office! I will put up my full picture later but I am loving this tiered shirt I got at Ross for $6. Nice girly offset to the grandpa cardi! My necklace is a little black owl from F21. Have a great Friday!
Last evening was the end of the voting for the Target Reader Outfits - at the time I went to bed, around 10pm, the winner was Anjali of Love and Wardrobe in her Liberty of London tunic ensemble! Congrats Anjali and thanks to all of the lovely ladies who participated in this month's Target Reader Outfits!
